The Mechanics Institution is clearly Swindon’s most important building. It was at the heart of Brunel’s New Swindon experiment, which without it would have almost certainly foundered; and we would not have the Swindon we see today. Here a group of students make an experimental film using sound and picture montage to convey some of the changes the building has seen
